Twitter's latest trend: Anime Vs Real

Earlier this week a trend started spreading like wildfire throughout popular anime related accounts on twitter. A lot of these accounts are also Kpop and Jpop fan accounts, but not all of them. Some of them are more like memes, while others are just very obvious K and J pop stans making comparisons to their favorite artists.

It’s trending so much that for the last several days, it’s about the only thing you can find on twitter.

It’s pretty much impossible to know where this trend came from but it’s gotten to the point that for the last week if you try to look at anything anime related on X at all, it’s FILLED with posts like this. Almost all of them are trending, with several thousand or 10s of thousands of likes per post. What do you think about this trend?

Manga panels where anime characters turn cold? (Spoiler warning for Demon Slayer)

Speaking of Twitter, another thread blew up this past week featuring some of the coldests manga panels of recent time. It features Saitama, Tanjiro, Kanaki, Goku, and more of everyone’s favorite characters reaching their breaking points and “going even further beyond”, so to speak.

Demon Slayer is mentioned multiple times in this thread, so if you’re a fan of the manga, you’ll love this thread.

Not a lot of Demon Slayer love recently, as it became trendy to hate on it a few years back, so this is a pleasant sight for fans of the franchise. Regardless of your opinion on the anime or the manga, Demon Slayer has made waves in all corners of the planet and that is fact. There are several moments in Demon Slayer that go extremely hard if you’re a fan, and some of the best moments in the Manga are only a season or 2 away from being animated!

New Jujutsu Kaisen merch just dropped! Are you getting some?!

Jujutsu Kaisen fans are eating good, as per usual, with the new Jujutsu Kaisen backpack and Satchel. These aren’t just for fans that are in school, though they would definitely work well to carry any books or laptops. The backpack in the image above would work well as a small hiking bag or everyday travel pack. There are 2 variations of this backpack and 1 satchel.

Satchels just never go out of style.

The satchel is a really nice blue color, though it lacks any real images like the backpack has. It makes sense, as because it doesn’t have an image, it can be seen as a tad bit more professional and you can carry it around in more places without it being a distraction, while still rocking the JJK look. It looks really well made as well, but I suppose we will have to wait and see. They should be released at some point this month on Loungefly.com. The backpacks are starting at $125 USD and the satchels, or crossbody bags, are starting at $65 USD.

Crunchyroll just released some new Berserk jackets, hoodies, and shirts!

Berserk is a timeless classic at this point with thousands and thousands of different merch items, but these definitely stand out among the others. The brilliant reds that Crunchyroll used for these pops in a way that will turn heads for sure. These are already released and can be found in the Crunchyroll Store!

While you’re there, there are TONS of Berserk themed items in the Crunchyroll Store!

Crunchyroll is one of the biggest stores for anime merch in the United States, hands down. They have stuff in all price ranges, from $40 figures to $2000+ collectors edition items, you can find pretty much anything on there. You can get the entire Berserk manga collection from their store, as well as whichever anime adaptation you prefer. Just a thought.
