  • Best Rage Moments in Anime twitter thread showcases amazing choreography and writing!

  • Some of Jujutsu Kaisen’s best movie and anime references!

  • Solo Leveling’s final episode!

  • A small dive into Sung Jin Woo, from 0 to Hero.

This “Best Rage Moments in Anime” thread was actually well received!

@GenosX0 on twitter made an interesting thread showcasing some of the best rage moments through anime. With careful wording and a variety of Anime, they managed to not only make a very nice thread, but also not cause any controversy. They added moments from shows like HunterxHunter, Dragon Ball, One Piece and many more.

And, of course, the fan favorite Jujutsu Kaisen! We can’t forget Yuji’s rage moment after losing a friend!

These moments don’t only show amazing fight scenes. Rage moments shine their brightest when they’re timed perfectly, and this thread shows a lot of very well written moments throughout anime.

Some of the many references in Jujutsu Kaisen!

Another thread by @Pushu_007_ on Twitter, who you might remember from yesterday’s newsletter. Pushu posts a lot of these threads and it’s almost always both entertaining and educational so definitely follow them if you like these threads!

Some of these references are so blatant, it’s hard not to see them!

The creators of Jujutsu Kaisen definitely have a lot of respect for other Anime creators, as this thread alone goes over more than 5 different references with video comparisons! Once you see them, it’s hard not to see it!

Solo Leveling has come to end.. But season 2 is already on the way!

Solo Leveling took the world by storm this year with its premier on January 6th. Fans were devastated with the news that it would only be a 12 episode season. Solo Leveling pretty much came out of nowhere, made millions fall in love, and then disappeared just as fast.

But not all hope is lost! With great popularity, comes great news! Season 2 has been announced!

Solo Leveling is an exception to normal Anime rules. For the last 20 years we have seen anime take 2, 3, 4, sometimes even up to 6 years before we get another season, IF we get another season. Many amazing and popular shows fall before they reach their peak, but not Solo Leveling. Season 2 is set to premier not even a year from now, near the end of 2024! No release date is official, so this might change later.

Sung Jin Woo, from 0 to hero in just 13 episodes!

Sung Jin-Woo Sourced from episode 1 of Solo Leveling

We have seen absolutely explosive power in Sung, the main character of Solo Leveling, in just a measly 12 episodes. This was expected by Manwha readers, but to the average anime watcher, this season of Solo Leveling was spectacular! We saw Sung be absolutely defenseless while trying his best to provide for himself, his sister, and his comatose mother, all by himself.

We even saw him die.. Almost.

Solo Leveling does a really good job at being fast paced, which can often times lead to the downfall of a story. Pacing is everything and, despite this Anime going from 0 to 100 really fast it does it well enough that it keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Watching Sung slowly get stronger and stronger is like watching a dear friend trying his best, it’s hard NOT to route for him!

Trivia Time!

Sung Jin-Woo, the star of Solo Leveling, has come a long way in 12 episodes. We don’t know his actual Hunter Rank anymore, but if we take context clues we can tell he is sitting somewhere around high B rank or low A rank in power level. This doesn’t mean he can’t beat monsters of a higher tier, but other hunters that are A rank have actually made Sung say things like “I couldn’t beat them if I tried.” But 12 episodes ago, what was Sung’s ranking?

A. D Rank!

B. E Rank!

The correct answer is B! He was E Rank!
