HunterxHunter Fighter
Hey, everyone!
We’ve gotten some news on the new HunterxHunter: NenxImpact game! It looks like this 2d fighting game is going to be released on Playstation 5™, Nintendo Switch™, and PC. While there is no release date set in stone yet, you’ll be able to play a demo if you attend EVO Japan 2024 this April.
Additionally, Call of The Night is officially getting a second season. Last Sunday, SugoiLITE leaked this information on Twitter. The release date is not out yet, but fans of the show should get ready for more information soon.
Here’s what’s going in the world of Anime today:
New information on the HunterxHunter: NenxImpact game.
Call of The Night Season 2 officially in the works.
A look into Ryuk, Death Note’s guardian angel.
New information about HunterxHunter: NenxImpact has been announced.

In a surprise announcement, we’ve learned that the new HunterxHunter game is going to be a 2d fighting game rather than the standard 3D arena that we’ve seen from works such as Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles and Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash. This is a smart move by Bushiroad Games and their developer, Eighting.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is a prime example of why they’re avoiding 3D.
The reason it’s such a smart move to make HunterxHunter: NenxImpact a 2D fighting game is because that is what most people are used to. Especially in the west. Look at other fighting games that are popular, from Mortal Kombat to Capcom’s fighting games, to Street Fighter, they all have 1 thing in common: They’re 2D.

Not only is it easier for the company to make a 2D fighting game with 3D models, it’s safer in the sense that more people will be able to pick up and play without having to learn all of the controls from scratch, they’ll avoid map pitfalls like Jujutsu Kaisen ran into, and can potentially avoid some of the zoning issues that Demon Slayer had, especially when it came to Akaza in the beginning. Not to mention the issues with Jujutsu Kaisen being so bad that even Playstation™ was issuing refunds.
There is currently no set release date but if you’re planning on attending EVO Japan 2024 there will be a playable demo from April 27th-29th, 2024.
Call of The Night season 2 has been leaked.

SugoiLITE, an extremely reputable news leaker on twitter, reported that Call of The Night season 2 was in the works last Sunday. No official episode count or release date has been announced yet, but SugoiLite has been an extremely credible and popular leaker for a large number of years now
The popular anime Call of The Night took the world by storm a few years ago but despite the manga having enough material for the anime to go on much longer, the anime was cut short into 13 episodes with no news on a season 2 until last Sunday.
This is only a leak, it could be subject to change but SugoiLITE is well known for their accurate leaks.
An official announcement may still be some time away, but at the very least fans can rest easy knowing it’s in development.
A look into Ryuk, Death Note’s famed Shinigami.
Ryuk taken from the Death Note anime
Death Note holds a special place in most people’s hearts for being extremely well done and original. In fact, it’s regarded as a classic. It’s still referenced in anime to this day and occasionally the author even publishes small one shots based in the same universe.
You can’t think about Death Note without thinking about Ryuk.
The shinigami that started the entire series because he was bored, a cynical yet comical character with a twisted sense of morality and humor. Ryuk is a God of Death, or Shinigami in Japanese, and one of the main characters in Death Note.
Known to be interested in Human drama and action, and also by his deep addiction to apples, Ryuk is Light’s Shinigami. Because Light picked up his notebook, the Death Note, Ryuk is bound by Shinigami law to follow him around until he dies or gives the notebook back.
Ryuk’s sense of humor goes deep and can only really be appreciated in hindsight. Despite being impressed that Light takes to the notebook so easily, he completely ignores going over some of the rules in order for things to be more interesting. He openly admits he has no loyalty to Light and once things get boring he won’t stick around, so to keep things fun for himself he sets Light up for failure consistently just to see how Light will react.

Death Note isn’t just about a few geniuses fighting it out mentally, it’s about a Shinigami manipulating the playing field just for a couple years of entertainment.
It’s safe to say the real winner of Death Note is Ryuk, as he got everything he wanted and more.
Know your meme!
Light eating a Potato chip
One of the best memes to come from Death Note is by far the chip scene. If you ever say “I’ll take a potato chip” in front of a Death Note fan, they will instantly reference Death Note Episode 8, in which Light’s plan was to disguise him writing in his Death Note by watching a small tv inside of a bag of chips to make himself look like a normal teenager studying.
