Are you ready for Anime St. Louis?!

Anime St. Louis is St. Louis’ biggest anime convention of the year! This convention is known for having amazing special guests lists, a top of the line maid cafe, a talent show, a cosplay contest and so much more! This is one of the conventions that people talk about and plan around all year.

The guest list is as stellar as it gets!

From Dawn M. Bennett to Emi Lo, this year’s guest list is popping with talented Voice Actors, Aingers, Artists and YouTubers. But that’s not all! This year, for the first time ever, a professional wrestler will also be appearing as a special guest! Based out of St. Louis himself, Warhorse is joining the fray!

These fights absolutely destroyed more than anyone thought they would!

Jogo vs. Sakuna vs. Mahoraga was a fight that only manga readers expected. It was a fight so brutal and destructive that it destroyed almost all of Shibuya and left a massive creator at the heart of one of Japan's biggest cities! Not only did almost all of the people who witnessed this fight die, but all the buildings were either blown up or cut down to rubble.

Saitama vs. Lord Boros.

There are certainly more destructive fights in One Punch Man, but one of the only fights we have seen Saitama take even a little seriously in the anime is his fight with Lord Boros. It was the first time we witnessed his strength and speed be nearly matched and the chaos that ensued destroyed large parts of Tokyo, nearly flattening the entire city!

Kuz, also known as @stfr_kaz on Twitter, is someone we have covered before here on Morning Otaku back around a month ago. Their art is so unique that words can hardly describe it! In the art above we see Mahoraga and Megumi just after Megumi summoned Mahoraga with a death pact!

And this is Sakuna in his fight against Jogo!

Kuz is just one of those artists whose art is under-appreciated and deserves far more love than it gets. The detail in Sakuna’s shirt, under his eyes, the line work on the fingers, I mean this person absolutely loves art and it shows in every little detail you can see. Definitely give them a follow!

Yuri!! on Ice the movie: Ice Adolescence has been canceled after nearly 7 years of production!

It’s always sad to see an anime get canceled, but after this movie was announced back in 2017 fans were ecstatic. Yuri!! On Ice was an instant classic back in 2016 when it first released. This led fans to have a false sense of security that they would get more of the series which was only amplified when the movie was announced a year later in 2017. After 7 long years of waiting, MAPPA has officially dropped the project.

But why wait 7 years to drop such a successful series?

The main reason is funds, according to MAPPA. Not only this, but MAPPA has been scrutinized for their insane work environments and impossible crunch times to release episodes of their shows in a timely manner, leading to health decline in a high number of their artists and animators. We aren’t going to focus on that too much but it is something that’s been causing issues at MAPPA for a few years now. Combine a low fund project with impossible working environments and it’s not very surprising that they would drop the project completely.

Naruto has always been a source of joy for many anime fans, but recently an anime fan on twitter that goes under the name ABD found a small detail that might make you laugh-

The top image is from Naruto Shippuden and the bottom is from Boruto, meaning after becoming Hokage Naruto managed to become even more broke than before! Some say it’s because his wife and kids take priority over his own wallet, which makes sense, but it’s still funny to think about.
