Blue Lock: Episode Nagi is only a few weeks away!

Official Episode Nagi poster

Blue Lock made major waves when it came out in 2022 as being a sports anime mixed with sci-fi elements that caused extreme consequences for losing even a single match. Not only would losing a game give your team penalties, such as losing a player later on, but if you lost too much then you would be kicked from the program and never allowed to play soccer again!

The high-stakes game combined with phenomenal animation and some of the best voice over work in the business made this anime shine brighter than all of its competition and fans are still left craving more!

So what is Episode Nagi?

Episode Nagi is a spinoff series that is not canon to the mainline story. It takes place as if Nagi was the main character. He will be in different scenario but still in the Blue Lock program.

The Academy Award winning film, The Boy and the Heron, is coming to Netflix worldwide! This heartwarming story will be available to stream sometime later this year, as an official stream date has not yet been dropped.

This fantasy anime should not be skipped!

The Boy and the Heron is the first Hayoa Miyazaki feature film in 10 years! It follows a young boy in a village he’s foreign to after the passing of his mother who is abruptly interrupted by a talking Heron who tells him his mother is still alive! This series of events transports him into a fantasy world beyond your wildest dreams.

An Anime Ending Songs debate went crazy over the last few weeks as anime fans from everywhere comment!

Sourced from Twitter

@Sachin_D_M on twitter posted a thread of what they consider to be the best anime endings of all time and was promptly met with backlash! Whether or not they expect this thread to get so much exposure is yet to be seen but many commenters have been quite aggressive after not seeing their favorites even mentioned!

They mentioned many popular anime from JoJo’s, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Death Note and many more. But was it enough?

It’s clear from the replies that the answer to that question is a resounding “no.” But what can someone expect from posting a list and calling it “The best” when the real best is completely subjective? While the list is certainly SOME of the best, it’s by no definition the absolute best.

Ghost in the Shell: An anime that started trends that are still felt today.

Sourced from Ghost in the Shell (1995)

Ghost in the Shell is a classic that many know. For a classic that dropped in 1995, the animation is still good to this day. It has solid choreography, a good story with a rather deep concept, and it helped maintain a Cyberpunk trend that is still thriving to this day.

Cyborgs gone wild, hackers with identity changing abilities, and a whole lot of action.

The story follows a young Cyborg Federal Agent that goes by the name Maj as she tracks down a notorious hacker, The Puppet Master. A hacker so skilled he could alter memories and the complete identity of cyborg humans. Due to how close this was to home for her, she begins questioning herself. This trail of doubt leads to places much darker than backstreet hackers. It’s a must watch for any Sci-Fi action anime fan.

Trivia Time!

Ghost in the Shell is an absolute icon when it comes to Cyberpunk themes in anime, but was it the first? There are plenty of Cyberpunk themed anime from the 80s and 90s that are equally, if not more, iconic than Ghost in the Shell but I’ll lower down the list to make it easier for you. Which of these 2 anime jumpstarted Cyberpunk themes in anime? There is a hint in the article above if you need it!
